For millennia turmeric has been revered for both its culinary and cosmetic attributes. Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric, which acts as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory in our body.

Curcumin is an exciting molecule that possesses atypical properties. Unfortunately, it has naturally poor bioavailability since it doesn't readily dissolve or disperse in water or oil. We use a nano form of curcumin in our patches to avoid all of this molecule's stubborn traits. We package each of our curcumin molecules individually so that they can disperse in water and our bloodstream.
In addition, turmeric typically gets filtered by our liver. Studies have shown that after ingesting one gram of turmeric, only one-billionth of a gram of curcumin can be detected in the body! You can consume the root, powder, or curcumin extract, but most of it passes through your body without generating any health benefits. The exception to this can be seen in people who indulge in Indian, Thai, or similar cuisines from an early age. They consume a consistent and daily dose of the turmeric ingredient that is abundant in their traditional dishes, and it has assimilated into their bodies. This is why using a transdermal patch is so much more effective!

Turmeric and curcumin are also both highly pigmented and cause staining. Therefore we chose an adhesive patch that is self-contained to avoid the mess.

Our formulation is in a convenient, portable, non-staining patch that dispenses nano curcumin transdermally so that it has a chance to target the inflamed area before it reaches the liver. Not having to wrestle with a pill or grab a glass of water is an added benefit!

We advise you to apply our patches after showering while your skin is still clean, dry, and free of any body lotions, perfumes, deodorant, or natural oils and sweat.

Our patch comes in a small square containing two main active ingredients, 28 mg of nano curcumin and 6 mg of menthol. The patches can be easily trimmed and shaped to fit a particular area of your body, or several patches can be used simultaneously. The adhesive is gentle and will not harm the skin upon removal.
